Cookies
Cookie policy
Effective November 2, 2026. This notice explains browser storage on https://dymtrim.cfd/, published by dymtrim.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to store, then send back on later requests. Related technologies include localStorage, which stays on the device and is not automatically sent to the server with every page view. This policy covers both, because readers reasonably expect one explanation of “the banner at the bottom of the guides.”
What dymtrim stores
The consent banner writes a single localStorage item named cookie_notification. The value is either “all,” if you choose Accept all, or “denied,” if you choose Reject. The item exists so the banner can stay closed on your next visit. It does not contain your name, your email address, or a history of which claude guides you opened. Clearing site data for dymtrim.cfd deletes it. The pages will then show the banner again, which is the correct result.
The field guides do not set advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or cross-site tracking cookies. There is no analytics pixel in these pages. Reading a guide does not add you to an advertising audience controlled by dymtrim.
What we deliberately do not do
We do not use the banner as a gate. Rejecting it does not hide the articles. Accepting it does not unlock a different version of the text. Both buttons only record the preference and hide the bar. We do not interpret acceptance as consent to sell personal information. The privacy policy states that dymtrim does not sell personal information.
The newsletter form
On a few guides, a form asks for an email address and posts it to signup.php. That submission is a message you choose to send. It does not require a cookie, and it does not set one in the script that handles the form. The address is used to send occasional notes about the guides, as described in the terms of use. You can write to [email protected] to be removed.
Google Fonts
Pages load DM Serif Display and Source Sans 3 from Google Fonts so the editorial typography stays consistent. Your browser requests those files from Google’s servers. Google may log the request under its own policies. dymtrim does not receive a copy of that log. If you block the request, the browser uses a fallback serif or sans, and the guides remain readable. We mention the request here so the notice matches the network panel, not because a font file is an advertising cookie.
How to choose
Use Accept all or Reject on the banner. The choice is stored under cookie_notification. If you have already chosen and want to change it, clear local storage for this host and reload. The banner returns. There is no account page, because the site does not keep a reader account.
Browser controls
Every major browser lets you block cookies, block third-party cookies, and delete site data. Those controls are more powerful than our banner. Blocking all storage may also remove the preference and cause the banner to reappear, which does not affect your ability to read. Vendor instructions change; use the help page for the browser you actually run. Private-browsing modes usually discard localStorage when the session ends.
Changes
If we ever add a cookie that is not described here — for example a measurement tool — we will update this page first and, where the tool is not strictly necessary to deliver a page you requested, ask again before it runs. A change of typeface host would also be noted here. The effective date at the top will move with the text.
